I'm not the website owner, so its going to be a guessing game for me here. I'm basing my hypothesis on the basis of what's out there - not what was originally intended. If you've got a view different to mine - believe me I'm keen to know more.

So here's my two cents worth analysis on what's the website's purpose

Target Audience:
1. Anyone who's got the authority to either buy or influence a sale of advertised products (ideally 15yrs & over)
2. Ideally a laptop / book / ipad or any other novel accessory user (include computers, tablets etc)
3. Enthusiasts, early adopters, gadget fans, definitely a key target as innovative products are on sale

Who are these product's main target buyers:

1. IT professionals, who use laptops, ipads, tablets, computers and other such gadgets
2. General office going consumers, who have to use laptops / computers / ipads at work
3. Work from home professionals who seek comfort with convenience
4. Ergonomic consultants or OH & S professionals, who wanna make sure these gadgets are used properly
5. Moms, Dads, Granny Pops, Granny Moms, Uncle / Aunts - anyone senior who seek comfort in everyday tasks
6. Recovering or ongoing patients, pregnant moms or people with conditions (e.g. back backs)
7. Folks with disabilities, people tied to the bed, people on wheel chairs with limited motion / mobility
8. Lazy folks, who want to indulge and get spoil themselves without the guilt.

So the big question, who owns this website ? Actually it wasn't much difficult to find who the owners were. And this is perhaps what I like about this e-commerce site. The owners actually are not hiding behind the shadows.

My search led me to a website called (http://www.Innven.com/). The promoters (yes promoters) are a young Australian couple in their early 30's. I don't believe this is their first venture, rather they've also worked on similar web initiatives in the past.

So here we start. I've chosen to review the website Laptop Stand. As mentioned in my earlier post, I'll start the review with its pedagogy.

This is an upcoming website. I've checked its birth-date, (yes they do have birth-dates), and its less than a few months old.

When I searched for the word "Laptop Stand" in Google Australia, I was quiet impressed to see its listing in the first page itself.

This just goes to show that whoever has started the business, they know a thing or two about search engine optimization. Not only have they come up with a new niche website, they know how to market it.

Sorry, I deviated from the norm, let me get back to the review again.

My methodology of reviewing sites

I don't do things in halves. When I do something, I make sure I do it after thorough research. You'll get to know what this means exactly when you read through my upcoming blogs. Some of the facets that I review about a website are:

1. Pedagogy : Who in the search world knows about the website
2. Ownership: Who are the owners of this website
3. Website Purpose: Why does this website exist? Its customers & target audience
4. Products: This is where I spend the most amount of time. Each product is reviewed at depth
5. Marketing & Frills: What services does this website provide along with its basic products. Covers Promotions
6. Socialization: How is this website connected - does it socialize ? If yes with whom
7. Why vote for it: Is this site a winner - if yes then why should one vote for this.

Note: Such an in-depth analysis takes time ! Naturally, you'll find me covering the above details under multiple blogs.

And yes - before I start .. please note that while I try to be un-biased, both in my selection of website which I review and the context in which I write, its quiet natural, that a personal bias creeps in. Please note that this is not intentional.

There are websites and then there are websites ! Lets face it, with millions of websites popping up everyday, how does one decide where to spend time and which websites to ignore ? And let's not forget, there are so many great websites out there, just waiting to be explored.

If at any point in time, you find yourself in need of some inspiration then this blog of mine is what you need to cure your "surfer's block". I only include websites that I deem good because of many different reasons. Each website has something extra to make it stand out from the crowd.
